At Golden Valley Almond Hulling & Shelling, Inc., we provide a full range of almond processing services designed to support growers efficiently from harvest through shipment. Our capabilities include trucking, hulling and shelling, inshell processing, bulk and bin handling options, fumigation services, and advanced color sorting for both inshell almonds and kernels.
Focused On Quality
Trucking
Our trucking operation is built to keep harvest moving efficiently throughout the season. With a large fleet of trailers and the capacity to handle high volumes, growers can continue harvesting without waiting on equipment availability.
We operate 7 days a week during harvest, with all communication, scheduling, and dispatching handled directly in-house by our office staff to ensure reliable coordination and service.
Stockpiling/Fumigation
Stockpiling and fumigation are managed with a strong focus on efficiency and inventory traceability. We have an in-house licensed fumigator to oversee all fumigation processes, ensuring proper treatment and compliance.
Each stockpile location is entered into computer software and clearly placarded for accurate tracking and traceability. Dual stockpiling elevators allow for fast trailer unloading to keep equipment moving efficiently.
Hulling/Shelling
The hulling and shelling process is designed for precision, efficiency, and product protection. Our system utilizes 11 stages of controlled shelling to minimize kernel damage while maximizing recovery and overall product quality.
We also offer flexible inshell processing options to meet different grower and market needs, ensuring each lot is handled with care from intake through final separation.
Color Sorting
Our color sorting process is a critical final step in ensuring product quality and market readiness. The top priority is removing inedible rejects and foreign material to deliver a clean, consistent product.
This level of precision helps maximize quality outcomes and supports growers in achieving higher premiums when their product moves to further downstream marketing channels.
